“The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.” Isaiah 50:4, KJV
It has been some time since I have posted. This “sabbatical” so to speak has been a difficult journey. There have been great disappointments and sorrow, which we needed to go through. But as always, God is there and he cares.
This verse has been my prayer. Firstly, I have desired to have someone speak a word to me in my weariness. Second, because we have been weary and know what it is like to need such, we have desired with all our hearts for this passage to be manifested in our life.
“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort, Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, KJV
Often, we endure tribulation so that we ourselves, having come through them by the Grace of God, are able to comfort others. And that is the point, is it not?
So, let us not seek so much to be comforted as to comfort others. And as we comfort others, we find ourselves be comforted by God.
